What is an "Approved Service Contractor Database”?

It is a list of service contractors that have been vetted and approved for use on ODPM client sites.

What is the approval requirement?

All contractors must complete an ODPM supplier vetting form detailing their service expertise, provide references and enclose validation documentation including: a copy of their C2 certification (where applicable), a company safety statement, a health and safety and environmental policy and their public/employers liability insurance cover.

How many contractors are approved?

Approximately three to four contractors are selected for each service category.

How do they get the job?

Property managers prepare a tender specification, select the appropriate contractors from the approved list and invite quotations.  High value contract and repair items typically require a minimum of three quotations for client consideration.

How does this database assist the quality of service delivered by the property managers ?

This database is designed to provide our property managers with immediate competent reliable contractor services on behalf of their clients.

How is the contractor service monitoring undertaken?

ODPM management review the property managers supplier review performance from their routine service reports, site inspections, and fault resolution. Any performance issues are recorded and if there are persistent issues the contractor will be removed from the approved service contractors database.
