First of all, thank you for visiting our website and I hope you find it interesting and informative.
Twenty years ago, when I started this firm from my home, I never imagined the scale of the property boom and that it would help ODPM to become the leading firm in multi-unit property and facility management, employing over 60 people and managing a property portfolio with a capital value in excess of €8 billion.
ODPM’s success can be attributed to our greatest asset: our unique people and the resources invested in training - and the innovative systems and structures that support our professional service delivery.
The biggest challenge in our industry sector has been the absence of any professional regulation which accommodates a very diverse calibre of service suppliers. This has made our ability to influence the public’s perception of our professional property managers and our firm’s service values and position reasonably difficult. We keenly await the imminent formal introduction of the NPSRA (National Property Services Regulatory Authority) so that ODPM’s professional standards are more easily recognised and so that we can compete on a fairer platform.
It is well acknowledged that there is a lack of information available on living in and running multi-unit schemes in Ireland - so the aim of our website's FAQ's area is to develop it to be a helpful source of information - and we welcome your comments and ideas so that we can feature lots more in it.
In ODPM I am very privileged to work with a wonderful bunch of people and our success is derived from their energy, enthusiasm and clear objective to set new standards in this vital and important service area. I hope that our new website acts as a showcase for their talents and I thank them for all their support.
